In-Home Euthanasia & End-of-Life Support

Saying goodbye is one of the most profound acts of love you can offer your pet. Dr. Eve provides a peaceful, gentle farewell in the comfort of home — privately, and on your own terms.

This care may be helpful when:

  • Your pet has a serious, progressive, or life-limiting illness and comfort is the priority
  • Your pet's quality of life is declining despite care and support
  • You want your pet's final moments to be peaceful, private, and at home
  • You are navigating the decision to say goodbye and want compassionate, honest guidance
  • You'd like to include family members, children, or other pets in the farewell

What This Care Includes

Before the Visit

Dr. Eve speaks with you beforehand to understand your pet's situation, answer your questions, and help you prepare emotionally. There's no checklist to get perfect — just knowing she's coming, and that your pet will be surrounded by the people they love, is enough.

A Gentle Sedation Step

A sedation step is offered before the final medication, so your pet can be calm, sleepy, and free of anxiety before the process begins. You are welcome to hold, speak to, or simply sit beside your pet throughout.

During the Visit

Dr. Eve arrives calmly, without urgency or rushing. Your pet can be in their favorite spot — their bed, the couch, your arms, or the backyard. The process is peaceful and gentle, and most pets simply drift off to sleep.

Family Presence

Families of all kinds are welcome, including children and other pets. If you'd prefer to be alone with your pet before and after, Dr. Eve will give you the space you need. She follows your lead completely.

Comfort & Dignity

Your pet will not feel fear or pain. The medications used are gentle and act quickly. You will have unlimited time to say what you need to say — there is no limit on that.

Aftercare & Cremation Guidance

Dr. Eve can provide guidance on aftercare options, including cremation services. If you'd like a paw print, a clipping of fur, or another memento, let her know ahead of time. You're not required to make any decisions in the moment.

In-home euthanasia is a scheduled service and is not available for emergencies. If your pet is in active distress, pain, or crisis and cannot wait for a scheduled appointment, please contact a 24-hour emergency veterinary hospital immediately.

Care Is Individualized to Each Pet

The services and treatments described on this website are general examples of care that may be available in the home. Recommendations are made case by case after Dr. Eve reviews the pet's history, current condition, care goals, and examination findings. Some pets may need testing, treatment, referral, or monitoring in a clinic or hospital setting.

Frequently Asked Questions

That's one of the hardest questions, and there's no single answer. Dr. Eve can help you assess your pet's quality of life through a consultation, looking at comfort, mobility, appetite, and joy. She'll be honest with you — and she'll never rush your decision.

When to Go to an Emergency Hospital Instead
