Sick Visits & In-Home Diagnostics
Sick Visits & In-Home Diagnostics
Evaluation of qualifying illnesses and changes in health for established patients — with selected diagnostics, sample collection, and treatment planning delivered in the comfort of home.
Established Patients OnlyThis care may be helpful when:
- Your established pet has a new or worsening concern that is not an emergency
- Your pet needs bloodwork, urinalysis, or sample collection
- Your pet has a skin, ear, or wound concern that can be assessed at home
- Your pet is anxious at the clinic and would be calmer at home
- You want follow-up monitoring for a known condition without a clinic trip
What This Care Includes
Sick Visit Evaluation
Timely evaluation of new or worsening concerns for pets with an established VCPR — including vomiting, lethargy, appetite changes, limping, ear issues, skin concerns, and more. Availability is limited and subject to scheduling.
Comprehensive Bloodwork
Complete blood counts, chemistry panels, and thyroid testing to evaluate organ function, screen for early disease, and monitor chronic conditions. Results are reviewed with you.
Urinalysis & Sample Collection
In-home urine collection and analysis to screen for infection, crystals, kidney markers, protein, and glucose — a simple but powerful diagnostic tool.
Skin & Ear Cytology
Microscopic evaluation of skin and ear samples to identify bacterial or yeast infections, parasites, and inflammatory conditions — allowing targeted, effective treatment.
Wound Care & Bandage Changes
Assessment and management of wounds, skin lesions, and post-surgical sites in the comfort of home — reducing stress for pets that heal better in familiar surroundings.
Sick visits and in-home diagnostics are available only for established patients with an active VCPR. This service is not for emergencies — life-threatening symptoms require an emergency veterinary hospital.

Frequently Asked Questions
Sick visits require an established veterinarian-client-patient relationship (VCPR) and familiarity with your pet's medical history. This allows Dr. Eve to provide safe, informed care based on your pet's health background. New patients begin with a consultation to establish care.
An established patient is a pet that has already completed an initial examination with Dr. Eve, establishing a veterinarian-client-patient relationship and a medical history. If you are unsure whether your pet qualifies, please contact the practice.
Not every illness can be safely managed at home. Some conditions require hospital care, advanced imaging, surgery, or continuous monitoring. Dr. Eve will assess your pet's condition and recommend the appropriate setting for care.
Selected diagnostics can be performed at home, including bloodwork, urinalysis, skin and ear cytology, and wound assessment. Some testing may require samples to be sent to a laboratory, with results reviewed at a follow-up visit.
If your pet is experiencing a life-threatening emergency — difficulty breathing, collapse, uncontrolled bleeding, seizures, or severe distress — please contact your nearest emergency veterinary hospital immediately. Do not wait for a mobile appointment.
New patients begin with a consultation to establish care. During this visit, Dr. Eve will review your pet's history, perform an examination, and establish a veterinarian-client-patient relationship. After this initial visit, your pet qualifies for sick visits and other established-patient services.
